7.30 pm Bible Study – Act on Poverty on ZOOM
From April 24 to May 29 we will use materials provided by Christian Aid titled “Act on Poverty”. In this Bible study you’ll hear personal accounts of the challenges of living in poverty. Perhaps you or others in your group have first-hand knowledge of these challenges. As Kerry Scarlett, vice president of the Methodist Church, tells us in week 3 of the course, it often isn’t easy to talk about such experiences. Members of your group will have different experiences of poverty and of power.

10.30 am Questions of Faith in the Crypt Cafe
The Questions of Faith group provides an opportunity to explore what we believe and why, and how we relate our faith to our lives. Discussion usually focuses on a book (currently Confession and other writings by Leo Tolstoy) but ranges widely as we share our stories, our doubts and our prejudices. It is a fairly small group, some from Wellington, others from outside, and meets weekly – currently at 10.30am on Thursdays in the Crypt. New members are welcome – no qualifications (theological or other!) required.
