We hope you will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere during your visit to the Crypt. It is our aim to provide you with food which is nutritious, good quality and great value and most of all enjoyable!
The Crypt has a small team of paid staff, supported by a rota of dedicated volunteers. The Crypt is non profit making but must pay its way. The menu on offer is priced accordingly. Surpluses have been used to maintain and improve the facility of the Crypt for your benefit.
The Crypt is a part of the work of a Christian community, although a warm welcome is extended to all, of any faith and none. We hope the Crypt will be a meeting ground for all.
Seeking to embody a social conscience, the Crypt provides, where costs permit, FAIR TRADE and locally sourced products. We also seek to maximise the amount we recycle. It is our hope and endeavour that your choice of eating here may be a small step in making our world a better place and that we may indeed be partners in this aim.

On our menu you will find a choice of homemade soups, mac n’ cheese”, baked potatoes, and toasties to order. There is much more besides and, of course, fair trade teas and coffees.
