JUNE 2022

SATURDAY 11 JUNE: Picnic and POETRY in the PARK: Rouken Glen Park G46 – Great place for children and there is a waterfall, a duck pond and an ice cream van.

FRIDAY 24 June: Walk along the Clyde and Forth Canal. Then sail on a canal boat the last stretch to The Stables restaurant for lunch.  Full details of time and cost from:

JULY 2022

FRIDAY 15 July: Picnic and POETRY in the PARK:  Hyndland Old Station Park G12 –  Once a terminus for a low-level train line – this space was saved by local residents to become a pretty park. Enter off Hyndland Road opposite St Bride’s Episcopal Church.  Full details from:

TUESDAY 26 July: Picnic and POETRY in the PARK:  Victoria Park G14 – Named after Queen Victoria on her golden jubilee as monarch in 1887, these 50 acres of green delight offer lots of lovely experiences. Full details from:

FRIDAY 5 August: WALK  in Balloch on the banks of Loch Lomond.  A pleasant, stroll in beautiful countryside with no hill climbing though proper walking boots/shoes are advisable. Full details from:

MONDAY 15 August : DAY TRIP to Largs. Famous for the Viking battle, ice cream and beautiful views across the Firth of Clyde.  An invigorating day by the coast.  Full details from:

Saturday 25 June –  United Yemeni Community in Scotland- celebrate the Refugee Festival Scotland in Maryhill Community Central Halls with a NETZERO Yemeni event with VIPs, HALAL HAGGIS and FREE ENTRY.

Sunday 26 June –  Glasgow  Mela 12midday until 8pm to be held in Kelvingrove  Park
All events are free.

    My name is David Jiménez and I came from Spain. I want to know if the conversation corner is still taking place and if the Students meetings of tuesday and thursday are going to be celebrated during april and the first days of May.

      Many thanks for your message.
      The conversation corner is on throughout April on Wednesday from 3pm to 4.45pm. In May the team takes a well deserved holiday. way
      Similarly, student coffees continue at least until end of May on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3-5pm. Lizy Posts the location on the students’ Facebook Group
