Màrtainn Skene and 2021 Mod Gold Medallist and piper Calum MacColl
Màrtainn is a traditional musician, from Lochaber, living in Glasgow, out of the West Coast tradition of dance music. He was a semi-finalist in BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2019 competition, and his band were nominees in the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2018.
Gaelic singer, piper and accordionist Calum MacColl, originally from Fort William, won the coveted Gold Medal in the men’s section for solo Gaelic singing at the Royal National Mòd in Inverness last year.
The concert is part of the 2022 Wellington Arts Festival.
