Wellington has a long history of advocating Justice and Peace and some of our members are truly what you would call activists. We are also situated right on the campus of Glasgow University and we have provided many student activist groups space in our halls.
This event wants to bring the new and old generations of Justice and Peace activists together for chat, exchange of experiences, and mutual encouragement and inspiration.
The evening will include a chat with one of Wellington’s veteran activists, Sally Beaumont. We will watch a short documentary on her life and work for good causes (produced by our members Yushin Toda and Fumi Nakabachi) and then Sally will be available to answer questions.
The event is on Tuesday 15th January and starts at 7.30pm and at some point pizzas will be served.
Everyone is warmly invited.
