STRANGE POWER OF LOVE
This will be an informal poetry evening in which some of us will offer to read poems old and new, or in some cases prose. Please contact Robin Green 357 5570, email munrowalker (at) ntlworld.com to book a slot. The evening is intended to promote the work of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in connection with their Climate Change work. Fair trade wine and local cheese will be served.
In addition to local poetic contributions, there will be dramatic readings of excerpts from Shelley’s translation ‘The Banquet’ of Plato’s Symposium, a light-hearted philosophical discussion on the nature of love.
